At Last! Asynchronous Google Analytics tracking!
Finaly! Google introduced a new tracking code that loads asynchronously to your page. The benefit is that your page loading doesn’t get blocked from the tracking code loading thus improving your page’s loading time.
Another benefit will be the capability of adding the script in the head of your page capturing users leaving the page before it fully loads, improving your stat reports.
The change to the new version of the script is optional and it is currently in beta but I think it deserves a look.
